A film about a generation of artists whose childhood was ruthlessly invaded by war. The fates of the characters are different. The eldest, Academician of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, Boris Nemensky, as part of the Studio of Military Artists named after M.B. Grekov reached Berlin. And the youngest, People's Artist of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts Pavel Nikonov, as part of the students of the Moscow Secondary Art School, continued his studies in evacuation in Bashkiria, in the village of Voskresenskoye.
