The history of the Greeks living in Kazakhstan and never been to their historical homeland. After the great Stalinist migration of peoples, the Soviet Greeks found themselves in the Kazakh steppes. The protagonists of the film are the Greeks of the city of Chimkent (Shymkent), one is the director of the puppet theater, the other is the director of the house of culture.
