This is a film about the famous northern healer Vera Alekseevna Zashikhina. She healed those who turned to her with their illnesses.

The film tells about an amazing and to some extent mysterious corner of the Russian North, about Khmilniki, which are located fifty miles from the ancient city of Velsk; about the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior, which was erected by human hands on this beauty, and destroyed by human hands in the 1930s. And again revived thanks to the work of a native of these places, Valentin Ivanovich Startsev. Khmilniki with a completely restored temple today actually become the spiritual center of this region.
