A film about the musician Sergei Mayorov and the love of his life, the Russian balalaika. The balalaika virtuoso of the legendary state dance ensemble of Siberia, whose solo numbers were applauded by half the world, was one of the first in the Siberian region to start making Russian folk instruments at the beginning of the 2000s. His kitchen in a two-room apartment has turned into a workshop in which he and his wife have been huddled for more than ten years.

A film about a wanderer of our days, fascinated by his native expanses. An Old Believer, a descendant of the famous Seletkov tiger-catchers and a taiga hunter, sets off from the Yenisei to the Far East, to a village somewhere on the Pacific coast, to visit his mother's grave. The film is his journey through Siberia, meeting people, far and near, searching for himself and the Russian way.
