Water is the source of life. Beneath the Earth's surface, water flows, emerging through springs, turning into rivers, seas, and oceans. We, humans, are like water – born, live, and continue in our children and grandchildren. Life and nature are eternal – if we, humans, do not destroy ourselves and the Earth.

In 1937, Andrey Platonov traveled by horse from Leningrad to Moscow along Alexander Radishchev's route. The film is structured around the alternation of these two journeys.

Our people have been dying for decades from a destructive addiction to alcohol. The film briefly shows the fate of several people, at different times and in different ways, experienced this addiction. Each of us has a choice - overcoming the addiction and living or submitting to it and the inevitable early ending.

The main characters are music, lyrics and homeless people against the background of alcohol. "Come in!" - the title of a work by composer Vladimir Martynov, which tells about the composer Henry Purcell, who froze drunk on a winter street. Alcohol addiction equals everyone, homeless and genius. Creativity and alcohol, are they compatible? An attempt to answer this question is made by the composer Vladimir Martynov and the artist Nikolai Nasedkin.

"Beauty will burn the world," says one of the film's characters, an artist and member of a contemporary dance group. What meaning does she put into the concept of "beauty"? Where and how do such radical and controversial ideas arise, where can this road lead?

The issues of life and death excite everyone. Priest Fr. Alexander answers the author's questions. About the problems of conscience, personal salvation, was Christ an ordinary person and what position does the church take on these issues. Ultimately, everyone will have to look for the answers on their own.

The time when people fed on the fruits of the earth gave way to a time when people feed on its bowels. The artist's large-scale panels were painted with oil, the world's main fuel. Is oil a blessing or a curse? This is a dramatic question of our time. This film is a continuation and rethinking, in cinematic language, of the problems raised at the "Oil is a Personal Story" exhibition (Tretyakov Gallery, 2019).

Generations two or three ago - that's all. I went to the places where I was born and did not recognize them. They are overgrown with grass, reeds, bushes. Close relationships with family have been lost. Life from these places is gone. And will he return? "

Nikolay Nasedkin's film “To Friends. On Demand ”continues the theme started in the art object of the same name. It contained portraits of friends, relatives, casual acquaintances, homeless people, beggars, vagrants, animals.

The film "Recovering Memory" is aimed at drawing attention to the problem of Stalinist repressions. The problem of memory and attitude to repression still divides society into two parts. On the one hand, there is condemnation and moral rejection of mass terror and totalitarian dictatorship; on the other hand, there is admiration for the scale of transformations and justification of the illegal persecution and destruction of people that took place at that time. This art project is a kind of video story and at the same time a visualization of an art installation proposed by the artist Nikolai Nasedkin. According to the plan, a symbolic raft with lighted funeral candles passes along the Moskva River. Similar rafts were used to transport logs cut by prisoners. Carrying out this art action in reality on the Moskva River can become a sign of reconciliation and memory, a reminder of the tragic past that should not be repeated.
