A story about how the match "Russia-Croatia" was watched in St. Petersburg.

The mother of nine children tells her story. Together with her children, she runs across a large country from poverty, disorder and her husband. Runs and cannot stop in any way, because it is not so easy to find a place where you can survive. The main character is torn between children and work; the school where the younger ones study, and the wedding of the eldest daughter; understanding that with her children she is not needed by the country and others, and the knowledge that she needs children, and they need her, and only for this you need to survive.

The truck driver Valerka and his partner were instructed to drive a fifty-ton transformer from St. Petersburg to Moscow. The men famously got down to business, but did not reach Moscow, halfway through the transformer fell off the truck. So the poor fellows got stuck by the road, waiting for the authorities, guarding valuable cargo from scrap metal hunters. For many months, Kostomarov and Kattin periodically visited Valerka, recording his stories about how he spends time guarding the transformer.
