Film-portrait of documentary filmmaker, photographer and screenwriter Sergei Skvortsov. Sergei Skvortsov was a film director and cameraman at the Leningrad (St. Petersburg) Documentary Film Studio, who shot a number of landmark works that had a noticeable influence on documentary filmmakers in the late 80s and 90s.

The film is dedicated to a unique artistic phenomenon, the work of the musician Oleg Karavaychuk, who in our time has embodied the concept of "The Spirit of St. Petersburg" with the greatest force in music. This author of virtuoso piano improvisations has written music for more than 100 films. Oleg Karavaichuk passed away in 2016. He should have turned 90 in 2017.
