The concept of this journalistic film goes back to the Moscow Metropolitan Zosima, who in 1492 put forward the thesis “Moscow is the Third Rome”. The author and presenter puts forward his own version of the collapse of the Byzantine Empire, which paradoxically resembles the stages of the collapse of the Russian Empire and the USSR.
