Why do people stay to live in a city where there is a war going on? The protagonist of the film asks this question to those he meets in Donetsk. From the answers, from the shots depicting the simple, everyday affairs of the townspeople, a picture of the life of the city in isolation is formed. By continuing to do their job, which they did before the war and will do after, people are rebuffing the very idea of war.

The film crew goes to the small town of Arvay on the edge of the Gobi Desert. In 1986, there was a Soviet military base here. And very close to this base, on the mountain, the military laid out the date from slate. It can still be seen on the map.
