This is the most dangerous profession. Just by going to work, a person is already risking not only health, but also life. In Russia, one miner dies every six days. And these numbers are growing at an alarming rate. What makes people go into a profession, romance, money, or do they have no choice? These questions will be answered in the film by the hereditary miner Yevgeny Samokhin, who has gone from an ordinary miner to a shift supervisor.

For almost three years now, for one hour a week, a small room in an old house has been turned into a radio studio. The Alekseev Hospital is popularly called "Kashchenko". And often, starting the broadcast, the hosts say, "Kashchenko radio welcomes you." The hosts and authors of the programs are patients of the Alekseevskaya hospital. They are stigmatized as disabled with psychiatric illnesses. It is difficult, sometimes impossible, for them to find help and support in society. The healthy majority stubbornly tries to ignore them. But the need to speak out and be heard is even stronger for them than for ordinary, healthy people, because they feel everything that happens more subtle, sharper.

On New Year's Eve, at the Center for Medical and Social Rehabilitation for Disabled People with Cerebral Palsy, doctors are preparing a New Year's performance and a concert for their patients. After all, many of them live here permanently, and for them this holiday has become the only spectacle that they can see "live".
