Alexander Traugot is an outstanding graphic and porcelain artist from St. Petersburg, Russia. He illustrated books by Andersen, Nabokov, Bulgakov, Pushkin, and many more. He belongs to a dynasty of painters and uses a collective pseudonym G. A. V. (for Georgy, Alexander, and Valery) Traugot. When he was 10 years old, his home was struck by the seige of Leningrad, which he, his mother and father endured until it was lifted 4 years later. The film recreates the atmosphere of the inner circle of Traugot’s family.
