The Russian village of Alexandrovka arose on German soil in the era of the Napoleonic wars. It still exists today. The first settlers of Alexandrovka were Russian soldiers-singers. Their descendants lived in this village until the 21st century. Unexpected connections between Russians and Germans, the intersection of "destinies, events" from the beginning of the 19th century to the present day are traced in this film.

Mikhail Alexandrovich Ulyanov played many roles in the cinema. But one of them had a huge impact on him and on our society as a whole. What is the attitude towards this work today?
