Filmmaker Igor Meshchan, who has been traveling to sacred sites for thirty years, explores these questions with archaeologist Yana Chekhanovets and nun Mariam (Yurchuk). This film is both an investigation of the spiritual and scholarly aspects of pilgrimage and an immersive journey into the world of ancient pilgrims, alongside a walk through old Jerusalem among today’s religious visitors.
