Valentin is a projectionist who worked for 44 years in one of the oldest Kiev cinemas. One day on the day of his 60th birthday, there was a fire in the cinema, and the man was forced to quit. Since then, he has struggled to find a new meaning to life in a rapidly changing country.

Valentin is a projectionist. From the age of 17 he has been working at the cinema "Kinopanorama" in the very center of Kyiv. This is his last year and a half before retirement. Filming begins in the cinema room in September 2013 and ends a year after "Maidan".
