Among Indian elephants, German service, calendars with kittens and Stalin, there are hundreds of little things. The real story is hard to see. Life, told over a cup of tea, is like a mosaic going into the terrible history of the country. Volunteers of the Gulag History Museum go to witnesses and victims of Stalin's repressions in order to re-collect evidence of the time and understand something about themselves.

In the heart of Moscow, there is a Spanish restaurant run by the eccentric Donna Lucia. Every day in her institution there is a holiday, a guitar and songs. And it seems that everything is there, and even love, but it becomes more and more difficult for Lucy to have fun day after day.
